IN THE BEGINNING
In the early 2000s, a reclusive, peace-loving environmental scientist named Dr. Lilly Pilly toiled away in her secret laboratory, deep in the Australian bush among the scent of eucalyptus and the glow of solar-powered lights. Lilly believed that with a better understanding of animals, humans could help them survive natural disasters like bushfires, droughts, and floods — not to mention the relentless march of deforestation and climate change.
She desperately wanted to truly connect with the creatures she loved so much.
So Dr. Pilly ran a daring experiment. She created a special formula by mixing human and marsupial milk with a blend of botanical extracts, hoping to help baby marsupials interact — maybe even communicate — with humans.
To her astonishment, the experiment produced something far beyond her imagination: a new species she named Marsupians, possessing both human and marsupial traits. She raised the babies and discovered they could talk and behave like any child. As they grew into teenagers, she became aware that they also possessed powers that defied scientific explanation. She encouraged them to follow their passions, train hard, and learn to control what they could do.
Word soon reached the Australian government, who recognised an extraordinary opportunity. The Marsupian Official Wilderness Emergency Responders agency was established, overseen by the formidable Commander Victor, Chief of Australian Natural Security. They became known as Victor's M.O.W.E.R.
